3 The Eternity Code

Artemis Fowl is trying to make money, again. He has used his stolen fairy technology to create a 'C Cube' that can hack in to any system, making any firewall or security obsolete. Artemis is selling the information of the C Cube's existence to a shady business man from Chicago when he accidentally 'pings' fairy satellite info (pinged, like the old sonar). When Artemis' C Cube is stolen the fairy world is once again in jeopardy. Artemis, Holly and friends must once again forgo differences for a common purpose. Only this time the price is much higher.

Guns galore in the first chapter, but only one shooting. A man's finger is cut off. Artemis bribes a woman. Artemis also deceives his parents. He is very careless with fairy technology which causes very painful consequences for everyone. The mafia are involved.

Artemis sees that his path is leading to destruction for everyone he holds dear. He questions if his methods are really the best way to do things. The pain he causes everyone prompts him to change. But not till the damage is done.

This book show the truth of the statement "with great power comes great responsibility." With Artemis' mind power he can save the world again and again, but when he uses that power for selfish gain terrible things occur. Forgiveness is again required all around.
