Finally we get to the meat of the story. Soraya and Jiaan must take action, Kavi must figure out if he's made the right decision. The war continues, as most of Farsala has fallen, Jiaan struggles to keep the one walled city from falling. Who are the traitors? Where will they get food? And men? Welcome to the middle book of Farsala.
Same as the last one.
Our characters are changing, slowly, not in a big way, but they are changing. This book isn't really idealistic, so you don't get the big blow out changes, it's more like small outlooks and manners.
I like trilogies a lot. They give you time to grow with the characters get to know them and their surroundings. Their also not too long, like some series where you're sitting wondering how long must it go on! I think these books are a great example of this. Worth reading once you get into it. If you can.
