Arthur Penhaligon is an ordinary boy. Other than his crushing asthma, he is regular. After getting out of the hospital for one of his attacks Arthur tries to explain to his track teacher that he CAN'T run. But this teacher has heard it all: he WILL run. As Arthur lies near death two strange men appear out of no where and give him what looks like a hand of a clock.
Really this book has no negative elements. There is a "Architect" who created everything and then left. She also left the Will to carry out her bidding.
Arthur is generally just a nice guy. He loves his parents, he puts himself in danger to save he city and he isn't a brat about it. Suzy helps Arthur when he desperately needs her and she sticks by him. Though the Will is a pain, it is really trying to do what is right. I think.
These books are light hearted and easy to read. They are sweet and funny. But if you are looking for something to challenge you or surprise you, you have come to the wrong place. Still, I had fun reading them.
